Express Play Options - Considerations for Golf on Turkey Mountain
We commit to enhancing the accessibility of Turkey Mountain Golf Course, with the goal of inspiring and nurturing future generations of golf enthusiasts. Here are some of the express play options we are considering for the 2024 season.
Express 9 Holes: A 9-hole round option for golfers with limited time. This can be particularly appealing for players who want to enjoy a quick game either early in the morning, during lunch breaks, or in the evenings.
Twilight Golf: Offer reduced rates for golfers who play later in the day. This can attract players who are busy during conventional hours or prefer cooler, less crowded playing conditions.
Family Fun Par-3 Course: Convert a section of the course into a Par-3 course, ideal for families and beginners. Shorter holes make the game less intimidating and more enjoyable for new players and children.
Speed Golf: Introduce a speed golf option, where players are encouraged to complete their rounds as quickly as possible. This can appeal to those looking for both a physical and golfing challenge.
Hole-in-One Challenge: Set up a hole-in-one contest on a par-3 hole. This can be a fun and exciting challenge for all skill levels and a great way to engage the local community.
Putting Contests: Organize regular putting contests on the practice green. These can be quick and fun competitions, suitable for all ages and skill levels.
Golf Clinics and Mini-Tournaments: Offer short golf clinics followed by mini-tournaments. This format can attract beginners who want to learn and immediately apply their new skills in a friendly, competitive environment.
Cross-Country Golf: Create a cross-country golf course layout, where holes are played out of the standard sequence, creating new, shorter courses. This adds variety and a novel challenge for regular golfers.
Skills Challenges: Set up skills challenge stations focusing on different aspects of the game, like long drives, chip shots, or bunker play. Participants can compete in individual challenges or a combined skills competition.
After-Work League: Start an after-work golf league with a shorter format, such as 6-hole matches, encouraging participation from local businesses and their employees.
These ideas not only cater to a variety of golfer demographics but also offer unique experiences that could differentiate Golf on Turkey Mountain from other courses in the area. They are all suggestions currently slated for availability in 2024.
